I bought a young(8 months)partridge rock rooster about a month ago. He had a very loud crow. In the last week, his crows have been 1/3 the volume, and scratchy sounding.
I do have 2 silkie roosters in separate pens, so all three roosters have their own separate ladies. They do seem to have crowing contests though. Both silkies are crowing full volume. Thoughts?
