Rooster mating pullets ? ! ? ! ? !

If a rooster mates with my pullets before they have layed their first egg, can their first eggs be fertile and hatch ? ? ?

I would say so. I just hatched off some pullet eggs, they weren't the very first eggs they layed, but they're still really small. I wasn't sure if pullet eggs would hatch at all, but I tried them anyway. I'm glad I did. They did great.

where the babies really small when they hatched or wre they normal sized ? ? ?

They were visibly smaller than the ones hatched from my normal eggs (I had a mixture under my broody) and if you picked up a chick in each hand, the even felt lighter. They're 5 days old and now I really can't tell a difference in size.
