I got 3 white rock roos and not sure which one or maybe all of them but they are getting rough with my 6 RIRs and 4 Barreds to the point of injuries. My question is can you clip the toenails and spurs without a problem? Really fed up with them hurting my girls.Help me!

You can use dog nail clippers on the spurs and nails. Just try not to cut too far back into the quick as they do bleed. If they bleed, styptic powder (quick stop) helps.

Thanks for the input.Wanted all hens and ended up with 4 roosters out of 14 birds, all white rocks are roos.Tried giving them away, find homes for them to no avail. Had a different plan for them but was grossly out voted.

Even with toenails and spurs trimmed, that many roosters with that few hens has potential for serious injury to your hens. Remove all but one of the roosters, and your hens will be far happier.

If you want to sell some of your roosters, you should try craigslist or even post an ad on here. That is if you havent yet.
