Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do. 
Hello Well I have 3 roosters in my flock. 2 of them are brothers and one is a miniature rooster, a very small one. Well its been about one week since i started noticing one of my roosters not active as he always has been. I noticed that he was always with his head down in the coop and just laying down. When i opened the coop door to let them out to free range he just stayed in the coop and its hard to convince him to come out. He still is doing this. Yesterday i started to research a little on what was the problem
. I started to examine his comb and to my surprise its like a dark purplish color while all my other chickens have bright red combs. I want to know if its something serious or if its treatable and what could i use to treat him. Its hard to see him always in a little corner while all the other chickens are out free ranging. Please Help!
