Rooster not crowing

I have recently acquired a 10 month old rooster. Having only had hens in the past I'm not current on rooster behavior. He hasn't crowed at all since we've had him (about 6 weeks). Is that normal? Also, he appears to have no interest in the hens. He just acts like one of the girls. Is this normal behavior or do we have a problem?
Thanks

Do you have a picture of "him". Rooster can try to stay hidden , but that is usually when a more dominant roo is around.
I have a ' head and shoulders ' picture or do you need a full body pic. Also, his tail has never been raised, always straight out. We do have an older silkie rooster that is quite loud but their pens are about 15 ft a part.

Finally got pics today. He is definitely larger than the hens and he is very friendly. They are Ayamcemani so color is not an option, sorry. You can also see that his tail is not raised as it should be. Having said thay only one hen has her tail up. Thanks.

That's definitely a cockerel...he may be feeling under the weather perhaps? Did you isolate him when you got him to make sure he wasn't sick at all?
They are still isolated as in not in with anyone else. The pens are pretty close together but there have been no problems. I did treat them as well as all of the others with Corid when I got them home. There was a very faint light tinge (not exactly blood looking) in the poo so I I treated everyone . The breeder said that they had not been on the ground until 2 days before we picked them up . Everyone seems fine and happy other than no crowing and droopy tails. Maybe he is intimidated and shy.
