Rooster not doing what he's supposed to.

Yep, at first the hens will usually HATE them because they jump on without such much as a howdy-do or grab them by their heads.

But as the roos mature sometimes they'll offer an insect or piece of corn as a "lure" and then get some consent going. Haha I've had a few roosters that were swift and quiet and the hens wouldn't make a single cluck either. If you weren't actively watching them, you'd never know it happened.

Survival rate in the wild is probably better for the quiet ones since they're pretty vulnerable for those few seconds.
