Rooster not sharing treats with hens, acting aggressive!

Jeeze! I'd never buy birds from her again. Why aren't his sisters allowed to approach you? Are they aggressive too?
Not a chance. She hasn't even advertised any chicks since I returned him to her.

One of his sisters was a bit too pushy-shovey and has rushed me from behind during walks to the coop. I heard flapping and felt contact. I always have two dogs with me, whom they really respect, so they have learned to keep a distance from me. They have just tuned a year old and seem much calmer, but after the cockerel attack ... I'm happy keeping a semi-cautious eye on them. It's always when you least expect it, right?

Some people are absolutely bonkers

I should have mentioned that conversation happened when she was here collecting the cockerel. She was saying I was afraid of him and that's why he went for me. I said I wasn't afraid of him until after he went for me, that it was my yard and I wasn't going to be stalked by a chicken while going about my business. that's about the time she said she kept an aggressive rooster because he was a good breeder. :smackHer son hated helping her round him up. She was yelling at him in Russian.

I don’t know why, but when you got to the part about her yelling at him in Russian it all made sense and I snort laughed.

I never keep a cockerel or rooster who's a jerk either! We started with chickens long ago, and our first rooster wanted to kill me every day! We learned over the years, no training works, idiot jerks need to be dinner for some family!
Right now I have a pushy Speckled Sussex hen, who isn't actually an attack bird, but needed correcting for pecking for attention her first year. Also, a Chantecler hen who bites when disturbed in a nest box while laying eggs. Neither hen will reproduce, none of their eggs will ever hatch here! I don't want to find out what their male offspring would be like...
They are still alive because there are only two adults involved with the birds, no children.

I had a somewhat aggressive hen who would bite me when my hand got too close to her. I was able to correct that but I am the only one who tends my birds, I don't have kids and she never actually came after anyone. If any of that were different, she probably would have gotten the boot. I just resolved to never breed her (which given I don't even have nor particularly want a rooster, was a rather empty resolve lol). Sadly she passed a few months. Sure, she was a crabby girl, but she was still a good girl
