I've had as many as 11 one year, standard and bantam split between 4 pens. Now I have 1 large pen with 6 roosters, 44 hens, 3 drakes, 1 duck hen (lost another last week) and 10 female Runner ducklings sharing 2 coops. (kennels, main coop and pen, garden)
Buff, Skunk, Brahm and Red Boy. They had been watching me feed the dogs in kennel next to them.
My boy Cuckoo (2 yrs) hiding on a shelf. Buff constantly picks on him for no reason.
My drake used to pick on him last year, injured his comb.
Brahm, my baby. He's just over 14 months.
Buff, 3 yrs
(He was helping hens last winter, 5 eggs under him)
Skunk, 3 yrs (seemed appropriate with his white tail feathers) He and Buff were given to me with several hens.
Baby Boy (was supposed to be my last rooster. Hand raised as a hatchling)
Red Boy, 3 yrs, is one of my Mother's Day gifts in 2017 from my youngest son. Had 2 RIR roosters but gave other to neighbor. He rules the pen and 2 coops. He's my oldest rooster by 1 week.
Hen hollered til he got in nest with her, he softly talked to her as she laid a very huge egg.
Most get along reasonably. Buff does bully Cuckoo at times, especially at roost time. I have 2 coops, Brahm and Baby Boy roost in smaller one. Red Boy, Cuckoo, Buff and Skunk all roost in the main coop. My hens decide which coop they roost in, makes taking head count fun as I have 50 chickens.
