I have my first flock and I suspect my easter egger is a rooster. All my other birds are different breeds so I have no accurate comparison. I named the EE Chicken Hawk because it's always been larger and more aggressive than the others. I think the EE is also making different sounds from the others. The EE usually keeps it's tail feathers parallel with it's body... when I took the EE out of the brooder she had her tail feathers up a lot higher...
I live in a fairly residential neighborhood so I cannot have a rooster. I'm trying to get this sorted out before I get any rooster crows and tick off the neighborhood.
I have larger pics where you can look more closely at the comb here: http://imgur.com/a/oHVXU
