I've posted pictures on here before and most (but not all) people have said "rooster" but my Ag Science teacher can't really tell and neither can the lady that I bought it from. I thought that if it was a rooster that it would start crowing once I re-homed my dominant rooster but I haven't heard anything. It also has much smaller bumps on its legs (for spurs) than my other rooster did, even though this one is older. It is 4 months old.

It definitely looks like a rooster but doesn't act like one and the seller says its stance is like that of a hen's and while the comb and wattles are bigger than the other's, the end of the comb (where it ends on the back of the head) was curved like a hen's rather than squared off like a rooster's. I've never heard that before though.

It's pretty placid but today it acted really aggressive to the one I just bought (the brown one) -- it was fine with it all day until this afternoon to the point where I had to bring the brown one inside in a box for the night. I would like to be certain if it is a rooster or not by tomorrow, and if so, I can swap it with a pullet because 3 unacquainted girls won't fight.

Thanks everyone, he crowed this morning. A shame because he's so beautiful. Next time I get chickens I'll just get them around 3 or 4 months of age so I'll know they're hens. I only bought chicks because I thought they'd be more tame when they grew up but the one I just bought is actually more tame so I won't need to do that again :)
