So we got this black austrolaup that we were told was a rooster. We ended up a few days later getting what we thought were to bared rock hens and two Delaware hens to keep the black boy who we names chopper company. Well over weeks we started noticing that ones comb and wattles where gettin more red and it was acting like a rooster. ...chopper seems to act like a rooster and his tail feathers are big but his comb doesn't seem to be getting much bigger....where as the bared rock you cam see plain as day he is a rooster although no tail feathers but he has started to tey and roo. They are about 2 months old. Advice on rooster or not?

I will be happy he is a rooster!! How can you tell?

I'm glad. Most BYC members are unhappy to learn they have a cockerel. As far as how I know; I've raised Black Australorps for years, and the comb and wattles of your bird are too large and red at 2 months for a pullet. Pullets' combs and wattled don't turn that red until shortly before they begin laying.
