Rooster or Hen?

One day I think this is a hen and the next I think it's a rooster? I'm so confused. Never crows but acts like it is trying to mate my other hens? Can anyone help? About 4-5 months old.

It is a gorgeous bird, and I too think Rooster. You can also post photos at "what breed or gender is this, " to get more opinions.

Looks like a Buff Cochin rooster to me. Crowing can take up to a year and can be delayed for various reasons.

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. I agree with the other members; you have a Buff Cochin cockerel. He's a gorgeous bird. ) Cockerels normally start crowing from 4-5 months, but sometimes it's considerably longer and in rare cases it can be almost a year.
