Rooster or hen?

Hi just wondering if anyone can help. my daughter brought this chick from her school it’s a Australorp about 8-9 weeks old.

the comb is already developed so I am guessing its a cockerel. However, you can only be sure when they start crowing or laying eggs :)

thanks I was worried it was as we can’t have roosters where we live.
