Rooster or hen

guess space. Stress on the hens. I can’t free range due to animals here.
I don’t know if he would be aggressive towards me eventually. The list goes on. I wasn’t looking for a rooster but the place I got them from says if it turned out to be a rooster just to bring back. I don’t think I don’t like knowing his fate since I’ve been raising him and I’m slightly attached. Guess I just have to let it go for now and hope for the best if I bring him back.

He wouldn't necessarily become aggressive. Roosters are misunderstood.
It's good the place will take the roosters back. Maybe since you have that opportunity it would be good to take it and send him back, as you likely won't get that chance next time you raise chicks.
And it's easy enough to acquire a roo if you want one later.
I love seeing a rooster with hens.

Hope it all goes well whatever you decide to do.

I think returning him is the best option. I am a strong believer in being excited and prepared for one’s first rooster. It is not an undertaking to be taken lightly. It is immensely rewarding to have a good roo, but bad Roos can sour people on them forever.
If this guy has a welcome home with his breeder then take him back. He may get hens of his own and be a happy boy. If you decide to take the Roo plunge later on then you will be prepared for it.
