Hi - new to this forum and hoping for some advice about whether these two gold laced Wyandotte’s are cockerels. My research suggests they probably are but this is the first time we’ve raised chickens from chicks so just looking for some advice.

Also look closely at the legs and feet. Your male will have bigger feet and thicker legs. He wont develop spurs to speak of for 6 more months or so.

Logic is telling me you have a pair, but even the more feminine of the two is really looking like a cockerel to me as well. How old?

Slow developing cockerel ran through my head. It's just so course looking. Age will be super helpful.

That was my thoughts too. It also seems to me that pullets very rarely redden up at all until they are completely feathered in and filled out. This bird just doesn't seem to be a pullet close to laying to me :/

I believe you have two cockerels. The other is just slow developing.
