What's the behavior like and their breed? IS their other chicks you can compare them to? Like their feet, crown, behavior, anything? Are you able to see their spur on their behind feet? Age is 4, then probably a roo

Thinking you have a roo there. That much comb and wattle development at 4 weeks makes me fairly confident in that.

It looks like a male to me, with the comb and wattles that big and that red at only 4 weeks old.

It also doesn't look like any Easter Egger I've ever seen.
I know they can come in many different colors, shapes, and comb types-- but I'm wondering if you have some other breed there.

Certain stores are notorious for having the wrong labels on their bins of chicks.

I am assuming it is true with all chicks but supposedly one of the methods is by the shape of the (few) feathers that are there -- pointy versus round. You can find the info on the web or chicken books. Good luck. (Doesn't really matter because at night, when your chicks start roosing --ALL of your chicks turn into 'roosters'! Get it?

So, that method is for the saddle feathers. Unfortunately, those don't come in until 10-12 weeks.
