Is Lulu, our Black Australorp, a girl or boy?


The chicken is 5 months old, it does not crow. Our 3 other chickens have been laying for about two weeks. We get 3 eggs a day and I'm pretty sure this chicken is not laying. I noticed the feathers near the neck are longer than the others. The chicken is not taller than the others but seems to stand "taller" with its chest out.

It looks to be a pullet to me.

I am certainly no expert, but that looks to be a hen for sure. She looks nice & healthy
