Rooster or hen?

I have a very "unique" question. I'm raising 6 buff orpingtons. I'm a first timer and my biggest chicken "big red" has started to crow. All my birds are 13 weeks old, however big red seems to be growing and developing more rapidly than the rest. "She" has a bright red comb and a beautiful wattle. But could she be a rooster? I awoke to find "her" crowing this morning and I've heard that some hens do that too. Can anyone shed some light on this? How can I tell the difference? The lady at the feed store said they were all pullets. Could she have made a mistake?

I would say roo, but I'm no expert.

You should know that unless the bird is sex-linked (and orps are not), sexing is usually only about 90% accurate. So it is not unusual to end up buying a roo when you buy out of the 'pullet' bin.
