Rooster or no?

From this last batch of chicks purchased...everyone doing well together at 4 months, then one has suddenly been sort of "crowing" as 7am sharp.
The older flock has one hen who does a similar thing, I assume to let me know it's time for her breakfast.
This one, we think is a rooster. Before I let her go, any other tell tale signs?
She/he is a beautiful Jersey Giant who seems bonded to the smallest pullet in the group. :-(
