Hi, trying to determine the sex of the six week old backyard mix bird. Comb is not really red and looks like my other pullets. Wondering your thoughts.

She is a pullet. Still a good idea to keep an eye on comb development, though.

Are you sure it's a sexlink? Looks a lot like my pure RIR. I know RIR are used in the cross to make a sexlink, I just wouldn't expect them to look so similar to the pure RIR.

I breed it. It’s an Easter Egger cross with a Wyandotte or Wellsummer.

That's pretty awesome. I'm still waiting for the first egg . I'd love to see pictures as she gets older. I'm just wondering if she'll continue to look like a RIR as gets adult plumage.
