so a while back i posted a barred rock chick that i was confused about. Well, I am still confused. The chick was mostly voted to be a rooster, with the idea being to post once 'he' is a little older... He was voted rooster because of his male barring pattern. So i have him beside my rooster from this same hatch, and one of him beside a pullet, also from the same hatch. Please let me know what you think...

And with a pullet....

These roos and pullets are all the same age...

how old is he? They appear to be heritage type rocks, heritage breeds are often late bloomers
12 weeks... and yes they are Heritage Rocks... just interesting to me, since i ordered 2 barred and 2 columbian roosters, all the rest have large combs and are very roosterish and mature looking... he is the only one that cant seem to grow a comb or other rooster features.. He also does not have a tall upright tail, but does have a flatter tail like the other hens...

also if he is a rooster, he would be the 3rd barred rooster... i only ordered 2, which i know they can mess up sometimed haha

hmm, you know, I might take that back, after a closer look at the pictures, I'm leaning pullet. but I'm getting mixed messages with this one. the wattles and pattern look male but everything else looks pullet!
