Rooster or Pullet?

We bought some chicks at Cackle Hatchery. And one of the welsummers is in question.

this is our first batch of welsummers so we are unsure as to how fast their combs grow. We did buy 5 pullets, but this one just has a pretty big comb.

They are now almost 5 weeks old.

What do you guys think, roo or pullet?

His comb does stand out from the rest of the flock. I can tell in the 2nd picture. I would say rooster. Hopefully you can keep roosters where u live.

oh Yes, that won't be a problem we live very rural on 40 acres, so we won't bother anybody but the wildlife

Welsummer roos are pretty, so if he behaves and gets along with the Barred Rock Roo he can stay.

The comb and color both say rooster. Welsummers are nice that way, the males have the black breast and the females have salmon breasts.
