I remember we had trouble with overmating a few times. We first went to ebay for saddles and made the mistake of buying chickens aprons. Those things do NOTHING for the hen; they're for decoration only. What you want is something like this: A chicken saddle, made of denim and leather. Nothing'll get through that.It’s fairly thick I think. It’s double layered. Canvas and fleece.
