This is my house cockerel, Popcorn. He is a lemon millefleur sabelpoot (booted bantam).

He was raised with them by their adopted turkey mother. He was trying to cause a commotion which he did and then quickly decided that discretion was the better part of valor and dashed into a hiding spot.

WOW! And I sit here and think that there is NO WAY that there could possibly be a more gorgeous rooster and then the next one shows up!! I think it must be that ALL are beautiful and they are definitely one of the most gorgeous creatures God has created!

In my main flock, I have:

My main man, respectful of people but not afraid to go talon first at a hawk to defend his girls, Reuben the Silkie:

Winter, Reuby's son. Likes to pretend he's tough when his dad isn't around.

Rooster flock number one:

Murphy, 'golden' Black Copper Marans. Major eye candy and he knows it.

Darwin the Red Dorking. Not the brightest bulb...

Dante the (poorly colored) Red Dorking, the quiet one:

Roscoe, tough guy. Silkied Red Cochin bantam (with a tough guy buzz cut courtesy of last winter ).

Russell and Rufus, Roscoe's boys. Set of knuckleheads that Roscoe has to keep in line.

And individually penned (for now) boys:

Jasper, the little Mottled Cochin bantam squirt. Yup.

Winston, Fawn Silver Duckwing OEGB. He's new (still in quarantine), so I'm still figuring him out, personality-wise.

And then there's Ben, Reuby's other son, who's ugly. That's all my current fellas.

You are too sweet! Well, not necessarily every day....those guys eliminated themselves by acting like brats. Never fails, it's ALWAYS the most stunning roos who have to go!

Seems like just yesterday you were trying out your very first rooster. Beautiful birds!
