I have a rooster that was hatched in May. He was the only chick that hatched in my bator out of a dozen eggs. That is always my luck. He has lived inside ever since. He would fall asleep in my hair and loves people. We called him Maizy until he started to crow. I was pretty upset when I found out he was a roo. Now he is crowing so much he is driving us nuts. I put him outside last week with my little cochins and silkie mix roo. the cochin hen went after him and he freaked out. He was terrified. I put him in with my Seramas and pigeons and he hid in the corner terrified even though no one bothered him. I left him for an hour and he still hid. I felt bad and brought him in. Now I heave a silkie hen in the house. LOL My Husband thought if they were together he would get used to chicken and have a buddy when they go outside. He has been attacking her so I had to separate them. Now he crows and she gets going making tons of noise. I'm going insane! I'm afraid to put her outside after seeing the cochin hen's behavior. I want to put her in at night but what if they attack her in the am? What can I do with the roo? He has to go out! I feel so bad. He thinks he's a house bird.
