Rooster question....

When does a rooster get his full color?
I got a little rooster about a week ago and he has some brighter featehrs coming out from underneath the darker feathers. His dad was VERY colorful an his mom kind of partridge looking. Will he get adult feathers or will he stay the same color he is now?
I believe he is a mixed breed banty, I can't seem to find a breed that looks like his parents.

I forgot to mention that he is between 3 & 4 months old..

By six months you pretty much know what they're going to look like. Although there can be some changes after that. My EE roo had a white beard until he was about 10 months old when it molted out and changed to salt and pepper.

Depends on the breed, sometimes they'll change a little bit after they molt out the first time.
