I have seven roosters that are driving my hens mad and making them look like Andrew zimmern. It's sad really. I have 5 mixed breed and two buff orphington, one with a permanent limp. all are grown and I would be willing to give them to anyone who will come and get them.

Until you can find somewhere for them to go separate them from your hens to give them a break. You can put them in the freezer, or find a local processor to do the deed for you. Or try putting them on craigslist and an ad in your local feed store.

I put them on freecycle but no takers yet. I have tried the whole freezer thing before. it didn't end well. Never again. Plus the ones we did were so tough you couldn't eat them and they weren't old roosters. Its even worse now because last night 2 raccoons got into the henhouse and killed some of the hens. Why is it the predators always seem to get the hens and not the roosters.
