Ya, interesting title eh? Well we have 3 roosters, and 5 hens!!!
Now, due to age differences, the set up is ~ 2 ,3 month old roosters with 2, 3 month old hens. And 1, couple year old (unknown age but FOR SURE past teenage year) rooster and 2, couple year (okay unknown age also, im assuming their around the same age) hens. Ya, crazy. Well the 2 young roosters have been fighting some, it obvious the partridge cochin rooster is dominant over the red frizzle cochin rooster, and that the buff cochin hen is the partridge (Danny) cochin's hen, but the light brahma hen? Well she fights with the roosters herself, mostly with the frizzle (Ylf) xD. But i have a couple questions ~
1) I know we need more hens, one of our older hens is missing almost all of the feather on the back of her head
But, if i were to get say 2 older hens, and like 3 younger hens (hopefully around the 3 month old's age's ) do you think the older rooster (Gryphon) would keep treading the one hen who is missing a lot of her feathers (Nugget) or give Nugget a small break and tread the new old hens? Or do I need to just hope Gryphon will just give Nugget a break?
2) Do I need to get the younger roosters more hens, or should I just get some more older hens and when the roo's get older, they can tread them ? Or should I try and get younger ones?
