Hi All! I noticed this AM our rooster just sort of lay down after they were let out. He was in a daze. He usually will chase off our two drakes from the hens but he didn’t today. He was crowing this AM, eating, walking around after this incident.
Then this afternoon, he was free ranging standing guard, then time to put them all up...he was in this daze again, very slow, then laid down. I got him inside; then he was fine, then it happened one more time but this time he laid on his side. :(

we rescued this rooster and he has been a blessing to our flock.. I gave him vitamin E with eggs and had no problem eating. I’m going to give some vitamins in his water. We have him isolated now

has this happened to anyone else?? Should I keep him isolated? Thank you!

Hopefully he will be okay. Keep an eye on the drakes to make sure they don't start breeding and injuring/killing the chicken hens.

Thanks...yeah..we will. I will be separating the ducks while he is recovering. They had been separated this whole time, then we rescued Rooster and he’s been keeping the peace and everyone has been able to get along. I
Hope he is ok!

And our drakes have their own hens but I guess they like to cause trouble. 🤨
