Rooster siting on eggs?

This morning where the hens useually lay eggs the rooster was there making little coo-ing sounds...huh?

The roos sometimes go into the nest to tell the hens to "lay 'em here", but I have never heard of or seen a roo sit on the eggs.

haha...maybe so! I bought him from a farm with tons of chickens... he was with several boys and about 75 hens... and now its just him and 4 girls...soon to be 8.

I have a few roos who hang around the egg-laying area. Kinda confusing, but I think they just like to be where the "action" is. I remember their excitement when they saw their first egg ever!
