Rooster sitting on Banties?

My RIR rooster has taken to sitting on my 2 little Banties. I KNOW he's a roo cause he is just starting to crow (SO CUTE!!) They don't seem to mind. Especially when it rains. They have plenty of shelter but prefer to sit under the roo in the rain. He ends up SOAKED and the other 2 are mostly dry. This also happens when they bed down for the night. I was wondering though if he could smother them. He's SO big compared to the other 2. They are all young. 4 months. Is this normal Roo Behavior?

I don't know, but I think it sounds very cute. I have seen posts here about very young Silkies who "adopted" younger chicks, and partially sat on or "brooded" them. Any chance you can post a picture?
