My rooster Fred, has been doing some fence fighting I assume, I didn’t witness the happening. He was ok until this evening, I noticed he has a splintered beak. It’s not bleeding, or anything, he eats perfectly fine. But what do I do? Leave it be? Put antibiotic ointment on it? Clip it down? Any suggestions?

I'd leave it be, unless it seems like it is preventing him from eating. In that case carefully filing it might be warranted.
