Rooster suggestions?

I raise for eggs and just have the rooster really for protection, and for chicks if I need them. And I'm going to wait until I can tell which chicks are pullets and cockerels and separate the ones I want from the ones I'll sell.
I know people have claimed to have roosters fight off coons, foxes, lions, tigers and bears but my experience shows otherwise. I only rely on one for fertile eggs.

If you are able to sell cockerel chicks easily enough you can try to sell your mature male. Here you can't give them away (we butcher ours).

This rooster has saved our flock from a dog before. So I want a rooster with the same personality of this rooster but a little smaller. So the gray chick might be a good choice. But I'm going to follow the other person advice with having a bachelor pad and choosing 2-3-4 roosters to learn from the adult rooster and hens. I'll choose them when I know for sure which is which.
