Rooster tail vs pullet tail

Here mine are at about 8 weeks with the lavender Orpington pullet standing in the center. To the left are two of the roosters in that batch. I swore she was a rooster too.

They all look like pullets to me. The one with the ratty tail, maybe, but I don't think so. I just don't see any evidence of hackle feathers. However, I have been wrong before, but it costs nothing, I say all pullets!

So I still have hope! Good, cuz I already love these sweeties and would hate to have to trade a roo in.

I agree with Mrs K. At this point they all appear to be pullets.

Most start at 3-4 months of age.
