My rooster was attacked by 2 pits day before yesterday and he is not drinking or eating on his own, he's in the house and on antibiotics. Looks like he was grabbed by the head , one eye is swollen shut. He's pretty beat up. Anyway I don't know how much water to give him at a time and how often. The only food was a tiny bit of yogurt mixed with a little water. I was afraid to give food too soon. I would really appreciate any advise I can get here. Thanks

Be careful forcing water on him. Chickens can choke and aspirate easily. Sometimes they won't drink for a few days after an attack. They often won't eat either for a few days to a week. You can try dripping some water in it's beak a few times a day.

When I give water to a chicken, I like to hold a small cup or scoop up to the beak, and if he won’t drink dip his beak to show him. You might want to learn tube feeding to give him some water with electrolytes and vitamins. It is fairly easy, and a piece of aquarium tubing plus a 35 ml syringe is all it takes for tuning water and very thin feed. A proper feeding tube and syringe may be obtained later from a vet. Water must be given first to get him rehydrated, then you can start feedings. Here is a thread on how to learn tube feeding:

You can give him 15 ml (1 tablespoonful) of water per pound of weight every 6 to 8 hours. I would weigh him just to get an idea of how much to give, and to check him for weigh loss later. A kitchen or postal scale would be good, or you could weigh him while holding him on home scales, then subtract your weight.
