Rooster went bye-bye

Oh one last thing...I've noticed more of a pecking order going on now that the rooster is gone. In fact, one of my more shy hens seems to be the alpha now. What I don't quite understand is why she's always the first to fly up to me when she never did that in the past. while some of the more friendly girls tend to ignore me more.

Plus the rooster used to shoo the hens out of the carport, and I thought the hens understood we didn't want them back there, but now that the roo is gone, they've been exploring the carport and venturing further away from the coop. The roo was definitely the brains of the flock
