just picked up a small flock of HUGE chickens, i thought at first they were brahmas or brahma crosses but im way off!
2 roo's and 4 hens, 2 years old.
2 hens are brown/grey barred, 2 are cuckoo coloured, both roo's cuckoo coloured

both roos have a comb that has three rows? hens all have single comb

all 6 have featherd legs and feet. sorry pics arent great its dark and they are still in the transport cages, will update with better pics tomorrow

it was a great find and a great price too! i cant believe how big/heavy they are. cant wait to get them out and take some proper photos so you can see their true beauty! and one hen already laid a huge egg in the cage...i was planning on buying these to sell on but looks like i'll be keeping them!

any idea what colour the hens would be called? they lay big creamy white coloured eggs

They're all mutts.

I'm going to guess the roo is BrahmaxBarred rock.

The hens are mutts too - they look to be a fake-type crele.

That hen behind the yellow bars in the 2nd pic almost looks like a diluted speckled pattern....

She is in Belgium so the list of additional breeds that they could be expands dramatically. My opinion (if they aren't some breed I've never heard of) is that they are culls from a color program for some breed. They look very well shaped so I would assume that someone was bringing a new color into his flock by breeding to another breed. Then he culled out the roos with incorrect combs & the hens with incorrect ?color?
They don't look like your average mutt & seem to have some sort of type like from showlines which leads me to my conclusions.

Looks like crele, but isn't actually crele.

They could be color projects, but not of any breed I know of. The last roo could be a project for a barred brahma but it's still very "off".
