My rooster has dropped all his tail feathers, which I figure is normal molting. However, I noticed today that his entire butt is naked though there are a new feathers sprouting. Should I be concerned about his bare butt?

Sounds like he is moulting if new feathers are sprouting. Be careful that the new feathers (pin feathers) don't break as they will release a lot of blood and other chickens will peck attracted to the blood.My rooster has dropped all his tail feathers, which I figure is normal molting.
