I received this Svarthona. He came to me with his toes all bent. I am not sure if he hatched this way or was injured at some point since i got him older. He is 15/16 weeks old now, is it too late for intervention. They don’t seem to hurt him and he walks with them fine. I am concerned for his future though, will this likely be a problem for him down the line where he will need to be culled eventually?

Do we know what causes this?

Anything i can do treatment/supplement wise to help prevent it worsening. He is a sweetheart so id like to keep him feeling his best.

Also im scared if this is genetic. I got 7 hens with him that are the same age. none of them have any issues. Hoping he is still okay to use to breed when i need more egg layers, for personal only- but i don't want to breed chicks who could have genetic issues.
