I have looked and I am probably missing my answer. I have a young rooster, about a year old that appeared to be fine yesterday. He was sitting in the coop, but other than that nothing else. Today when I went out to let the chickens out, his wings were held down at his sides not up (thought of merick disease), then he pooed and it was white and watery, and his comb is turning black, that was red and normal yesterday. He is listless and walks very slowly then will sit down. I walked over and picked him up, he yelled a touch but did not try to get away. I have isolated him in a carrier away from the others and he is currently sitting outside. Any ideas what this could be?

With his comb turning black, and him having no energy, off the top of my head he may be in cardiac failure, or maybe some bacteriAL disease in his lungs. I'm no doctor, but I think I would try some LS-50 or Tylan in his water. Does he gurgle when he breathes? Is he eating or drinking? Is he breathing fast?

I did not hear him gurgling, I am not sure if he is interested in food or water, I grabbed him and isolated him and ran in the house to look what might be the cause.
