Im Very New At This! My Rooster, I Have Had For 5 Days Now. I Was Told He Is About A Year Old. He Has White On The Tips Of His Comb & Some On His Face. Could This Be Fungus. I Put Some

what area of the country are you in? has he been exposed to very cold temps? the reason I ask is b/c sometimes that can be frostbite, but i'm not sure about the part on his face...

Hi Dudagirl welcome to BYC.

First I gotta say I'm fairly clueless about a lot of the medical issues chickens have. I've been lucky and have not had to deal with it. White spots on the comb sound like it could be either pox or favus. I'll attach a couple links. Hope it helps. Good luck

It is usually reccomended that new chickens be kept seperate for about 1 month. I don't know how quickly this can spread, if it will spread. I think I would seperate now and hope for the best. Can you post a pix? It would be pretty valuble to the more knowlegable members here.
