Rooster won't walk up ramp - normal behavior?

I'd be interested to know if anything changed since then.
Same here...Hey @stavo any updates?

since we have too small a ratio of females to him
Maybe, maybe not.
The 'rooster' to hen ratio of 1:10 that is often cited is primarily for fertility efficiency in commercial breeding facilities.
It doesn't mean that if a cockbird has 10 hens that he won't abuse or over mate them.
Many breeders keep pairs, trios, quads, etc
It all depends on the temperaments of the cock and hens and sometimes housing provided.
Backyard flocks can achieve good fertility with a larger ratio

I had to go back to the uk so OH was locking up chickens. He left it till dark and guess what, my big hen was already in the coop!
When I came back, I went back to my normal routine of locking up while dusk and Madame started the same game. ‘ I can’t possibly get up there, but don’t touch or catch me until I’m ready’.
After a few days of running round the apple tree to get her I’d had enough. I left it till dark and surprise, surprise she’s put herself to bed. Just shows you what conniving, devious and clever birds hens are - she played me for a right Charlie!
