My production RIR is 18 weeks. Getting aggressive, charging at me and pecking aggressively. I am new to chickens...have 6 of these and 6 barred rock. No crowing that I have heard.

Lots of breeds have black in the tails. It's not gender specific. Looks like a typical, point of lay Production Red pullet. Some girls get very moody as they near maturity. Blame it on puberty and all those hormones.
