Rooster?

Roosters are pretty gentle usually and they protect your hens
They are much prettier than hens too especially your Easter egger rooster

Ok, you guys are all making me reconsider keeping him. So if I’m consistent in collecting eggs, I won’t have babies?! The 15 I have are enough. Thank you!!
Your friends EE is also a cockerel. EE males usually have pea combs. Spurs do not start growing until much later. My 9 month old cockerel only has tiny spur buds.

I wasn't keen on having a male either but then I got one by accident and then I decided to try my hand at hatching. A friend gave me a styrofoam incubator to use. Now I'm addicted and have hatched out hundreds of chicks over the years. Now I breed for show/exhibition.
That’s so great! But I get too attached!
Your Egger cockerel will be quite stunning after his first full molt.
Some of the boys can become a handful.

Here is a great article by @BantyChooks on how to interact with cockerels:

I highly recommend both reading the article and giving it a try raising your cockerel.
I also agree with @Chick-N-Fun that I would never have a flock without a rooster.
My boy is still quite young but he is coming along very nicely and I think he's awesome.
Thanks!!
