My rooster has red streaks on his legs I have checked very close to make sure he has no mites . He looks healthy in every way other than the red streaks . has any one got any suggestions ?????

As long as he is otherwise healthy, the red streaks are most likely indicative of high hormone levels - normal.

Red streaks are normal for roosters. They are caused by hormones and it means he is mature or close to maturity.

My cockerel has them too. I call them his racing stripes.

I was concerned too the first time I saw them. I think they show up more so on some colors of legs. An old time on here said, "The sap is rising!"
