Hello my fellow chicken lovers, I think I know the answer to this one but would like to see what y’all think. Hen or rooster? Lol. Rooster crowing?
I did try to link a video of him crowing but not sure if I did it right or not.🤷🏻‍♀️ He’s been crowing day and night which makes us thinks he’s a rooster, but no Spurs on his feet. Looks and acts just like the others besides the wing difference which also leads us to think rooster. Also we did just recently get 2 older egg layers (my current 4 are 10 weeks not laying) and we noticed this one was way more aggressive towards them than any of the others. We can not have roosters at our location and already have people asking about taking him. These chickens are more like pets and companions to me then livestock animals and would hate to see it go when it’s really a hen! Thank you very much for always answering my crazy questions!

I think it is a male, but the actual gender does not matter much in this case. If it crows enough that people THINK it is a rooster, then they will say you cannot keep it.

Aren't they always growing? Or do they start at a certain age? Y
All chicks start with spurs bumps, both male and female. They are where the spurs will grow. But it’s not till around a year old that they begin growing out. And they can grow on both males and females. My boy started growing his out at around 8 months.
