Can I keep a rooster that has been hatched from the same flock? Or should I look for a rooster from a different flock?

Yes, that’s my concernSure you can. Is your concern that you'd be inbreeding?
Thanks. I was curious about that myself. You can inbreed to a certain extent, chickens don't start showing genetic abnormalities as readily as humans would with inbreeding. That's how people often breed for certain traits.
Now if you're talking about doing it continuously for generations, then adding fresh blood would be a really good idea at some point.
