Rooster

Hi I'm new to raising back yard chicken's. I started out with five 3 day old chicks. They are 4 months old now and one of my hens is a Rooster. Surprise . I went to put the chickens up and found one of my hens dead. I think the rooster did it. I have him separated from the other hens now. How can I rehome him?

What makes you think the rooster did it? 4 months and raised together - most wouldn’t start killing like that.

Most of the time a rooster kills a hen it is from huge spurs or him being 10 times her size (i.e. a Brahma breeding an OEGB)

He had blood on his beak and down the front of him. I checked the other hens and they were clean. He had always been well-mannered and even sits on my knee. So I'm not sure what happened.
