Hi I was wondering how you introduce a rooster to your flock of hens

I just put the rooster in with the hens, here will be some fighting bc the hens and new roo will need to find the pecking order.

If you have a way to do see-but-no-touch keeping the roo separate but visible to the hens for a week, it will decrease the chance of fights and/or chasing chaos. It'll give them all a chance to get used to each other. I had no fights when I introduced my original roo and that's the method I used after his quarantine period.

7 hens 3 are a year old and 4 are spring chickens. He is a year.

I think they’ll be fine. The older girls will put him in his place, and the younger girls will fall in love with him and follow him everywhere. At least it worked that way for me, twice. Good luck, keep us updated!
