Well.....it definitely is a rooster. I heard it crow this morning for
the first time. It's in with 8 hens (I think!)

how old is it ? ive got one hes about 11 weeks now

I can't tell you exactly how old he is. We bought the chickens from an auction and all they told us was that they were all hens! He's a Splash Cochin and really beautiful. He's in with 3 RIR, 4 Buff Cochins, and 1 Splash Cochin hen.

Whoops! 3 Buff Cochins and 1 Barred Rock. Our granddaughter named her (the BR) Fatty Patty. She used to be the boss, but since the rooster made himself known, he's the KING now!
